Our reviews
The food at Masala y Maíz is getting better and better. Norma and Saqib's hospitality is off the charts. The balance of spice and acid in their dishes leaves you craving it even weeks after you've eaten there.

Its cuisine is full of flavor and contrasts. It is not a place to look for traditional dishes, but the chefs own personal interpretations. You have to ask for their shrimp to peel, paratha quesadilla, infladita chaat, pickled vegetables.

The flavors of this mix of Mexican, South Asian and African cuisines are incredibly delicious. There is no doubt that the shrimp are a favorite, but the menu changes frequently and the staff is especially good at making recommendations, so let them guide you.

I always really enjoy the meals here, as well as the warm service. The peeling shrimp, samosas and pipian paneer, although I like to order everything and change it up.
