"Classic of classics where everything is homemade."
Our reviews
The most classic of classics where everything is homemade. I like the downtown location on Isabel La Católica and sitting next to a window. For breakfast I order the chilaquiles and when I go to eat the tortilla soup.

The best place to take the parents, especially to the Palma branch in Centro, which for me is the most beautiful because of the building with stained glass windows. The escamoles with epazote are the ideal starter; among the main courses I almost always order the chambarete mixiote.

The sure thing: the salsa verde with chunks of avocado is addictive.
What's different: the chicken in mole.
Lo 🐽: shell with cream.

One of the most regal places to experience a Mexican breakfast in its classic form. Locations all over the city but definitely go to one around the corner from Zócalo. Be sure to order the conchas as soon as you get there, ask for them piping hot with a cup of natas on the side. They may change your life. Also the chilaquiles are a great way to start the day or eggs in as many styles as you want: ranchero, al gusto. You name it, they have it.

If I have visitors from out of town, this will always be my choice. The quality of the food, the variety of the recipes and always super good service, in all branches. If there is beef brisket to share, you have to give it a try.

The one in Palma and the one in San Angel are my favorites to go for breakfast before 'dominguear' (even if it is during the week). I order conchas with cream and bitter chocolate, salsa verde taco with cheese, and eggs with longaniza.

As soon as it starts raining, I feel like running to this place for a concha with cream and hot chocolate.

The best pre-office breakfast you can get. Fast, excellent service and everything is always delicious. The custard and the huevos divorciados, are excellent choices.

El Cardenal downtown on Palma Street is my favorite. My ideal plan: go for breakfast and have a concha con nata, hot chocolate, tongue enchiladas in green sauce and several bolillos.
